Classic Memories: Songs That Bring Us Together《经典回忆》：往事只能回味

This year’s concert brings together Ding Yi Music Company, 96.3好FM【哇!皓有仪思】personalities Li Yi, Hao Hao and Si Yuan, the Lianhe Zaobao Choir, and SOKA Chorus in an evening that celebrates nostalgia, friendship and community. Featuring beloved classics such as Green Island Serenade, Rose, Rose, I Love You, a tribute to Fei Yu-ching, and a grand finale honouring the music of legendary songwriter Liu Jiachang, audiences will rediscover familiar melodies in fresh arrangements for Chinese chamber ensemble and choir.

A special highlight of the concert is the piece Lament of Lady Zhaojun《昭君怨》, where soloist Fred Chan Hong Wei attempts to capture, on Cantonese gaohu, the bittersweet beauty of a timeless tale. His lyrical interpretation will bring forth the music’s yearning and melancholy, tracing the emotions of a woman separated from home and loved ones.
