Job Role and Responsibilities
The main responsibility of a musician is to rehearse and perform with the Ding Yi Music Company. As one of Singapore most prodigious Chinese chamber music ensemble, Ding Yi focuses on our music-making journeys through a vast repertoire ranging from traditional Chinese music to contemporary and cross- genre work, bringing the best Chinese chamber music to the Singapore and international stage. The ensemble has an annual season of concerts, educational and outreach activities and others.
Musician will be given the opportunity to work closely together with conductors, musicians and the management team in fulfilling the artistic vision and mission of the Company.
Benefits
- Monthly salary with CPF contribution (CPF applicable for Singapore Citizen and Singapore Permanent Residents only)
Working Hours
Capped at 33 hours per month.
Qualification
- Possess a minimum of tertiary qualification in music performance
- Preferably with experience in playing in a Chinese chamber ensemble setting
Audition Information
- Performance of 1-2 Solo Excerpts
(Total duration for the solo excerpt should be 10-12 mins)
Solo excerpt should consist of a slow and fast section (excerpts can be chosen from solo/concerto pieces).
Solo excerpt should best present the technical skills, musicality and understanding of the repertoire chosen. - Performance of 5-6 Ensemble Excerpts

Submission
Each applicant should submit the following materials in English:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) in PDF format
- Performance video samples
Submit a PDF document containing links to performance videos hosted on YouTube, Dropbox Link, Vimeo, or any another online platform. Video samples may be from past performance videos within the last two years.
The submitted video(s) must total 5–10 minutes of representative performance footage and may include solo, chamber, and/or concerto performances and should clearly showcase the applicant’s artistic range and technical proficiency.
