Executive, Marketing and Communications

Job Summary

The Marketing Executive works with the Manager, Marketing & Communications to plan and execute marketing, media and public communications to profile Ding Yi Music Company’s concerts, programmes and brand. The role develops and delivers effective digital marketing and social media strategies, key messages and content across platforms (e.g., website, EDM, social, digital ads), audience development and brand visibility.

The Executive is expected to take end-to-end ownership of assigned deliverables—from briefing and content creation to publishing, stakeholder updates and quality control—ensuring timelines are met and outputs are accurate, consistent and audience-appropriate.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Digital marketing, content & social media
  • Develop and execute effective and creative digital and social media strategies to promote Ding Yi’s season concerts, outreach programmes and initiatives (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, website, EDM, basic SEO and paid ads where applicable).
  • Plan and maintain an integrated content calendar, aligning content formats, messaging and timelines with organisational priorities.
  • Create, write, edit and optimise content across digital platforms (e.g., social captions, press releases, website/EDM copy and simple creatives where applicable), including bilingual copy (English/Chinese) where required, ensuring brand consistency.
  • End-to-end delivery & quality control
  • Take ownership of deliverables from brief to publishing, with proactive updates and timely follow-through.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of all public-facing outputs through pre- and post-publication checks.
  • Maintain organised documentation and asset management for smooth team handovers.
  • Content capture & on-ground coordination
  • Support content capture for rehearsals, concerts, filming and outreach events: prepare shot lists/briefs, coordinate logistics, and ensure required footage/assets are captured within schedule.
  • Provide clear, professional direction and work effectively with artists, crew and internal teams to achieve production needs.
  • Partnerships, publicity & reporting
  • Work with Programming and internal stakeholders to develop marketing angles and story ideas; identify opportunities for partnerships and publicity.
  • Track and analyse digital performance (e.g., website and social analytics) and provide regular internal reports with key insights and recommendations.
  • Maintain and update the company website with accurate programme and event information.
  • Administrative support
  • Provide ad-hoc administrative support (e.g., scheduling, coordination, documentation, procurement/quotes, and simple reporting)

Requirements

  • Passionate about the arts/music.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) abilities in English; ability to draft/review Chinese-language marketing copy is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in digital marketing and social media management; arts & culture experience is a plus.
  • Strong project and time management skills: able to manage multiple deadlines independently, provide proactive updates, and follow through without constant prompting.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong quality-control mindset for public-facing communications.
  • Professional, respectful and collaborative; able to work calmly under pressure and coordinate with diverse stakeholders (artists, crew, partners).
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and/or multimedia tools is an advantage.
  • Willing to work occasional evenings/weekends for events, rehearsals or content capture.
