Main Roles and Responsibilities:

Musician will be given the opportunity to work closely together with Resident Conductor, musicians, and the management team in fulfilling the artistic vision and mission of the Company, both locally and internationally. As a chamber musician, there will be opportunities, solo or lead, to hone their virtuosity.

Musician is required to participate in the activities, concerts and attend rehearsals scheduled by the company. He/she will also be involved in educational projects, community outreach programmes, and any artistic matters planned by the company.

• Monthly salary with CPF contribution (applicable for Singapore Citizen and Singapore Permanent Residents only)

Working Hours:

Minimum of 42 hours, capped at 66 hours per month

Salary:

Starting gross salary from $1,700

 

Qualification:

Possess a minimum of tertiary qualifications and preferably with experience in playing in a Chinese chamber ensemble setting.

 

Audition Information: 

1. Date: 17 March 2023, Friday

2. Time: 7:00pm to 10:00pm

3. Venue: Ding Yi Studio

4. Audition Criteria:​

   • ​Performance of 1 solo excerpt of 10-12 minutes (consist of slow and fast sections) that best present musician’s technical skills, musicality and understanding of repertoire chosen

   • Performance of 5 ensemble excerpts

   • Will be assessed on both Chinese and Western repertoire

   • Sight-reading
