"How do we continue to create contemporary works for the next phase?"
This concert underscores Ding Yi's ongoing endeavours to create canons of modern Chinese chamber music works, and in playing an active role in driving the development of uniquely Singapore Chinese chamber music sounds, Ding Yi showcases contemporary works from a stellar line-up of composing doyennes from Singapore and the region, including Dr Chen Yi, Dr Joyce Koh, Young Artist Award 2019 recipient Emily Koh, Koh Cheng Jin and Ding Yi Composium 2018 winner Chua Jon Lin, highlighting female composers' contributions to our contemporary Chinese chamber music scene.
